I washed and detailed my car on July 15 and it hasn’t rained on it since then. It rained one day but I left it in the garage that day. Things are drying out around here quite quickly.

Seriously. It rained a little on me yesterday on the Leavenworth drive: It sprinkled in the morning on the way to the meet spot, rained in Leavenworth, and rained heavily on the drive back down. My car was completely filthy.
I have missed the rain so much. It’s terrible when it’s hot/dry here.
This dry streak also came after we set a record for the most rain.

It was 56 days with no measurable precipitation.
It doesn’t mean we didn’t have cloudy days (and it sprinkled a handful of times in the area, but not on the official monitoring location). Still, it was definitely exceptionally dry.

My car kept getting dusty enough to wash, or I’d hit water on the road or something. I washed my car more the last two months than I usually do in 6+ months. My main thing the rest of the year is to keep wax on, then keep the windows up with Rain-X. Once the filth is washed down from the air, as long as water rolls off, it doesn’t really get that dirty.

I got a message from a fellow Oppo member this morning from the PNW and had to tell me it rained. For a region that always rains it’s funny you all comment on the fact that it rained today.
You guys sound like people from SoCal today.
